Pilates increases flexibility and tones the body, helping you to thrive in your own environment, whether you are an elite athlete, an office worker or a pregnant woman working from home. Pilates is a method of exercise to help develop your core strength, flexibility, body awareness, balance and postural alignment. It involves either floor exercises in the case of mat Pilates, or machines. These work the body from inside out, helping to facilitate movement either by adding resistance with springs or by reducing tension, therefore adding greater challenge to your workout.
Pilates is especially helpful for pregnant women, and it is an effective way to stay in shape and be strong as you go through pregnancy. It helps pregnant women get strong abdominal, pelvic and back muscles during pregnancy and labour.
David offers his fusion of Osteopathy and Pilates to a wide range of clients, including office workers, mothers, amateur and elite sportsmen and dancers.
