About the Business
Alex first experienced Osteopathy when she received treatment as a teenager whilst suffering from low back pain. Treatment helped her enormously and enabled her to continue with her Ballet training and to represent Somerset at Athletics. Some years later, Alex trained at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine and qualified with a first class honours degree. She has since worked in Herfordshire and moved back to her home county of Somerset 6 years ago. Like all Osteopaths, Alex works on all areas of the body, but has a special interest in ergonomics (most notably desk and driving positions) and gait (the pattern of the body during walking/running) and how problems in these areas can cause dysfunctions in the body.
Mat's introduction to Osteopathy came about in his early twenties when, as a racing cyclist, he suffered from hip and back pain. Osteopathy was a revelation! In addition to reducing my symptoms, I experienced changes to my breathing pattern and in my general health.
