About the Business
Osteopathy is a drug free form of manual therapy. Osteopaths are primary healthcare practitioners, which means that you do not need a doctor's referral to consult with one. They are qualified to diagnose, treat and, if necessary, refer you for further investigation. All osteopaths in the UK are required to be registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). The profession is regulated by this Council.
The title 'osteopath' is protected by law. It is against the law for anyone to call themselves an osteopath unless they are registered with the GOsC, which sets, and promotes, high standards of competency, conduct and safety.
In order for your body to function properly both its structure and function must work well. Osteopathy works on this principle to ensure that muscles, ligaments and connective tissue are functioning well together.
